HELLBOUND January 2027 PREDICTION LIST
- Jan 31
- 5 min read
Hellbound have announced their intention to spread their heavy music
cruise experience to a second voyage with Hellbound II. The cruise will occur from 17-21 January 2027. Presale goes on sale at 11am on the 4th of February and General Sale at 11am on the 5th of February. After Hellbound I selling out in Presale in less than ten minutes, with email issues and no General sale available, there have been issues raised

about a repeat of the previous cruises launching events. Hellbound released a statement stating "We acknowledge the concerns and disappointment experience by many during the booking process of Hellbound 1 cruise. The demand for Hellbound Cruise 2026 exceeded all expectations -- not just locally, but globally. A music cruise like this has never sold out so quickly anywhere in the world, and the demand was/is unprecedented within the Australian Cruise Industry." Hellbound went on to say "We are navigating uncharted waters with this historic cruise brand we are building together. Hellbound exists because of its community, and we remain committed to learning, improving, and delivering the best possible experience as we continue to help reshape the Australian music cruise landscape." With the edition of a fourth date to the experience we can only assume that will mean more bands and activities. With the lineup reveal on Monday 2nd at 10am, it is time to share our prediction list, in no particular order, for obvious reasons, I will not be including anyone who will be performing on Hellbound I.
The Amity Affliction
The Amity Affliction are always mentioned when you discuss heavy hitters of the Australian Alternative Music Scene, so at this point it would be a criminal offence to not add them to this list.
You can find The Amity Affliction on: Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and X
For Fans Of: Polaris, Parkway Drive, We Came As Romans and Of Mice & Men
Alpha Wolf
Alpha Wolf have been making waves and rapidly stepping up the list of notable Australian musicians, with previous international recognition, it is a no brainier to have them on the list.
For Fans Of: Make Them Suffer, Polaris, Dealer and Thrown
The Living End
The Living End are living legends of the Australian Punk scene and if you tell me you don't like them, you're wrong.
For Fans Of: Grinspoon, Jebediah, Gyroscope and Regurgitator
Zukø
Zukø have started to appear on some notable tours, including Alpha Wolf, Stray From The Path and Froth & Fury. Their hardcore style and stage presence is gaining traction and I believe they will be a suitable fit for this kind of event.
For Fans Of: Stray From The Path, Alpha Wolf, Deadskin and Headwreck
Gravemind
Gravemind will be an excellent heavy addition to the cruise with captivating stage presence and professionalism, they will have you drawn in.
For Fans Of: Thy Art Is Murder, Structures, Veil of Maya and Northlane
Mélancolia
Mélancolia have just completed several ground breaking tours, with Cradle of Filth and Till Lindemann, gaining them wider notice of their theatrical blackened nu-metal style.
For Fans Of: Lorna Shore, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Cradle Of Filth, Cattle Decapitation
Justice For The Damned
Justice For The Damned has been popping up consistently on tours throughout Australia, including with fellow Hellbound I acts, Polaris, Make Them Suffer and The Gloom in the Corner.
You can find Justice For The Damned on: Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and X
For Fans Of: Kublai Khan TX, Misery Signals, Alpha Wolf and Thy Art Is Murder
Post Heaven
Post Heaven absolutely hit the ground running in 2023 and have been carving out a space for themselves since. Their Post-Hardcore/Alt Rock style would be a welcome shakeup to any heavy lineup.
For Fans Of: Glassjaw, Deftones and Fleshwater
Heavensgate
Heavensgate has quite the year coming up in terms of touring, including an American tour with The Amity Affliction and August Burns Red.
For Fans Of: Thornhill, Bloom, The Gloom in the Corner and Orthodox
Hands Like Houses
Hands Like Houses have been on the move recently including supporting The Used last year and will be featuring on Slam Dunk Fest in Great Britain this year.
For Fans Of: Too Close To Touch, Normandie, I The Mighty and Rain City Drive
Vana
I feel like there will be at least one international act on Hellbound II, and Vana is the perfect choice for that. Not only is she from Aotearoa, so remains within the Australasian Region, but she is one of the most recent signs to Sumerian Records, so would be a great higher tear addition.
For Fans Of: Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Spirit Box and Magnolia Park
RedHook
RedHook are rapidly making a name for themselves, with an impressively large discography at their disposal. They have also featured with Hellbound I act Ocean Sleeper and will be touring with The Amity Affliction this February.
For Fans Of: Wargasm, Stand Atlantic, Bring Me The Horizon and Spirit Box
Thy Art Is Murder
Thy Art Is Murder hardly needs an introduction to the Australian Alternative Scene, and have absolutely earned a spot on an event such as this.
For Fans Of: Chelsea Grin, Whitechapel, Fit For An Autopsy and Carnifex
Headwreck
Headwreck have rapidly launched onto the Australian scene, hitting international attention, and have previously (or will be shortly) toured with notable names such as Good Things, We Came As Romans, The Amity Affliction, In Hearts Wake, Polaris and Northlane.
For Fans Of: The Amity Affliction, Thornhill, Diamond Construct and Northlane
Stand Atlantic
Stand Atlantic have been in the scene since 2017 hitting stages in America and for the likes of Good Things, Slam Dunk Festival, Sleeping With Sirens and August Burns Red along the way.
For Fans Of: Yours Truly, Blink 182, The Story So Far and Tonight Alive
Who is on your prediction/wish list for Hellbound II?
I will see you at Hellbound I, with a full breakdown of the historic events after the fact. Who are you most excited to see? For me, it is to see if To The Grave can sink the ship.
