Hard Rock band GenarationZ of Springfield, Missouri, USA have recently unleashed their third single Probably Death, following earlier releases, Something Wicked and Seance. GenarationZ have become synonymous with a dark, atmospheric and hauntingly melodic soundscape, with Probably Death slipping right into the ongoing theme. Without further ado

let's jump into the deep end of GenarationZ latest drop. I've lost my way, I'm in too deep, Last breath I take, Before I leave, My light grows dim, My darkness peaks, My bones are dead, My body creaks. Probably Death opens with a moody and alluring atmosphere, low and slow drum beat, melodic guitars and heavy bass that holds the promise of something heavier; as Jen's powerfully elegant voice slides over the surface. The instrumentals flow like a one sided conversation or final diary entry, calling out into the ether as it goes in circles of calm and outbursts of frustrated emotion. As the track turns to a heavier narrative, the instrumental skills truly come out to play, with groove style drum fills,

frantic guitar lines and double kick drums. The under layering of (I may be wrong here) Chello adds depth and weight to the eerie environment created by the band; filling in pauses that carry the track to the next tempo shift with fluid ease. I've lost myself, Along with everything, A heavy crown, To weight the irony, Between the lines, I'm filled with past regrets, My future now, Will be my epitaph. Jen does an incredible job at expressing an array of emotions, from longing, despair, calm and the relief that comes with the final sleep. There is a particularly beautiful vibrato that is used on the phrase "last breath I

take," hitting an angelic softness that elevates Probably Death to the next level. Jen shows off her vocal prowess through the uses of a combination of subtle fry, vocal slides and runs and her unique timbre and cadence to complete the final stage of story telling. GenarationZ have hit the scene with a bang and I am curious and excited to see what they will come up with next. I don't believe in you, My past resolve is through, I've lost my way, I'm in too deep, Last breath I take, Before I leave.

GenarationZ will be taking part at Voices For Veterans in Salem on the 20th of September; raising money for the non-profit organisation Missouri Operation Combating Veteran Suicide Events and Resources.
