Gadigal/Sydney Metalcore band Irken Armada has dropped their latest single 'Begging For Heart' featuring vocals from Matthew Betmalik (Father Deer Hands), Ethan Karpathy (iocaste) and Liam Solway (Cultists). Irken Armada hit the alternative scene in 2024 with their debut

EP 'A Sign To Kill' followed by singles 'The House of No Tomorrow' (2025) and 'Love Soaked Wounds' (January 2026). Flesh, Turning love to stone, Lust for temptation, Eternal damnation, Leave me, Keep me, The sweet, Relief, Relish in sensation, I fell onto my own knife I hope it kills me, This is where things went wrong, You're not listening, Oh this is where things went wrong, But you're still not, Still not, Still not listening, This is where - Things went wrong for me. If you are in the mood for a high energy hardcore pit song, you found it; with four vocalists on one track and the perfect beat to two-step and swing those arms to, it is bound to be a hectic time. This song

feels like it was designed entirely for the live experience and you hold that impact through the entire track, reflected through the film clip as fans can be seen throwing hands and feet like it is their job to the bands performance. A song of self reflection in the wake of dysfunctional romance, Begging For Heart will have you screaming your own heart ache out into the ether alongside the band. Another step from the person who I wanted to be, I don't know about anything less, I Confess - Chain me up and send me down the depths, The screaming mind, Loves to chew the spine, Like

eating knives, By the river at night, Begging for heart, Whilst splitting lines, The crystal glass, Exposing your shrine, Accept the wake up call, This flood of flesh begins to fall, Deeper, Deeper. Vocally you will find yourself met with a fit of anguish and longing from vocalist Blake. Blake shows the full breadth of his vocal spectrum from lows to high before being joined by all three guest vocalists for the ending of the track for a chorus of mayhem. The subtle use of vibrato throughout Blake's vocals is such an unexpected and welcome edition.

Despite the ash that's in my blood, This is where things went wrong, You're not listening, Oh, This is where things went wrong, But you're still not, Still not, Still not listening, The screaming mind, Loves to chew the spine, Like eating knives, By the river at night, Begging for heart, Whilst splitting lines, The crystal glass, Exposing your shrine, ERGHH. Musically Begging For Heart is everything you want in Metalcore music with Hardcore pit energy; angry and frustrated guitars, relentless drums, riffs and fills for days and that all important throw down section. This track is straight up energetic madness at its finest. Glided through gates, Their voices crack, In the safety of sleep, Horns and blood bring me back, Left in desolance, Set it off like dynamite, The chewing spine, Eats you alive, Keep digging.
