KOH: GOLDEN DEATH EP ANNOUNCEMENT

Garramilla/Darwin Metalcore band KOH have unleashed their Debut EP 'Golden Death'. KOH formed in 2021, releasing their first single 'Follow Your Ghost' in August 2024, taking home the 2025's Best Metal/Hardcore Song at the Northern Territory Music Awards for their efforts. KOH have
unleashed Golden Death off of the high, with Track Three of the EP 'River Mirror' currently in the Finals for the Northern Territory Music Award Best Metal/Hardcore song of 2026, proving that the band was not a 'one hit wonder'; rather 'one to watch' in the Australian Alternative Music scene. "Whether it's from a past of trauma and heartbreak, or a toxic pattern inhibiting your way of living; Golden Death is the painful transformation into something greater." KOH takes inspiration from Metalcore, Djent and Groove Metal which has guided them to produce their unique sound.
"The term Golden Death, to me, means a different type of 'end'," says vocalist Andy Kala. "One that is more sacred and not as grounded in the physical end of something living and breathing. It is change, one so painful and great, '...It feels like needles deep in (my) skin…'".
Not letting their remote location get the best of them, KOH has worked with Australian up and comers such as Zuko, Reliqa, Diamond Construct and Justice For The Damned amongst others, as well as appearing on Blacken Open Air 2025 and Terror loud 2026. Golden Death is full of undeniable repeat listeners, with Aurea Mors drawing you in with it's softness, Lightness producing lines such as "When the reaper comes to our doors, What will we tell him we lived for" and Blasphemous inducing goosebumps; it is impossible to find a skip-able track on Golden Death. While living out the typical Metalcore listening experience KOH pulls you into something special with the blending of the persistent groove undertone and interesting tone, power and versatility of vocalist Andy.
