DOLLFLESH: DJ BIG TOXIC SINGLE REVIEW

São Paulo, Brazil Industrial metal band Dollflesh have unleashed their "visceral weight of metal and the mechanical pulse of electronic music, its identity unfolds in distortion, dissonance, and raw emotion" since their debut single 'Zero' in June 2025. Dollflesh have since released eight

singles including most recently 'The Beauty' last week and 'DJ Big Toxic' in August 2025, which we will be talking about today. Elvis bit me today and Marilyn called me, In the green fields of dead tress, Description of texture to crucify, Testing our new at to die. "“DJ Big Toxic” is a provocative sonic statement on mass control, cultural decay, and the commodification of belief. Built on abrasive textures and distorted vocal delivery, the track creates a tense, dystopian atmosphere where icons are hollow, truth is fractured, and obedience is weaponized. The raw, poetic lyrics cut through with unsettling clarity, turning media

saturation and political rot into a hypnotic, industrial-tinged ritual. A bold fit for playlists centred on dark experimental, industrial, or politically charged underground music." So close, the way we like to feel pain, So close, the blood can stain, So slow, dead presidents can die, So cheap, you can’t buy your Jesus Christ. Dollflesh said it best themselves with their description of the subject matter so I am going to move straight on to the musicality of the song. DJ Big Toxic jumps straight into the chaos, no warming up, no warning, just pure social commentary. While the track holds the same steady rhythm throughout its length, it takes you through lows and highs on the surface and through the vocals as frustration slips into the complacent points of measured control. The loss of control happens at the mid point of the

song, following a tactful use of sirens and warning alarms, as the whirring sound of the record comes to its end and the spell is broken. Jew fleas are tamed very well, Revitalizer gas to dead cells, Gimme just one more cigarette, Surgeon General can fuck up your head. Kephas has an interesting vocal timber with an organic combination of sounds like Rob Zombie, Waylon Reavis and Till Lindemann, all finished off with unique vocal inflections from his Brazilian accent. He moves gracefully from clean and heavy singing with an interesting rap aspect thrown into the mix. I can't wait to see where Dollflesh is going, with the start of their career starting off so strong. Buy my lies, Pay me with your eyes, Buy me, No Pain, No Gain.
